Managing the overall conceptual direction of a project.
Responsible for the prospecting, analysis, purchase/leasing and development of land, with the aim of creating attractive and profitable projects that strengthen the organisation’s market share.
You are in charge of the development of new wind projects
- Investigate and analyse the market in which the organisation operates and translate these analyses into a master plan in order to detect potential commercial opportunities and project sites.
- Negotiate land lease contracts in line with the organisation’s vision and development goals in order to create new development opportunities for the organisation.
- Write up the permit file and organise/follow-up on the permitting process in order to obtain the required permits and guarantee a swift start of the project.
- Develop and maintain a professional network of third parties (local administrations/authorities, land lords (proprietaries), distribution system operator, customers) and stay abreast of the evolution within the market in order to be able to act upon opportunities at any time and safeguard the development possibilities of the organisation.
- Set-up and follow-up on the project budgets in order to deliver the projects with an optimal price/quality ratio.
- Negotiate partnership/shareholder agreements and implement those in order to create win-win deals for both investors and the organisation.
- Collaborate with internal colleagues as well as third parties (governments, public instances, study bureaus, law firms, customers) in order to guide them towards the most appropriate advice/solution.
- Based on professional knowledge and experience, act as a subject matter expert in order to determine and negotiate the most adequate technical solutions (e.g. with wind turbine suppliers, distribution system operator etc.).
- Maintain contacts with the other departments (Finance, Legal,Construction & Operations) in order to ensure communication, optimize cooperation and thus ensure the continuity of the projects.
- Share the professional knowledge and technical competences within the own field of activity in order to apply them optimally within the projects, within the project (development) team.
Profil
Bachelor/master: industrial / civil / commercial / bio engineer, Applied Economics, Legal
Experience : 4 – 6 years of professional experience
Autonomy :
- Manages projects with a high degree of autonomy (Manage a portfolio of a limited number of projects at once (up to 6-8 projects))
- Manage a budget
- Consult the Development Lead/Manager in case of high-stake questions or issues – Is supported by the Development Lead/Manager during negotiations, lobbying or spokesmanship with high level stakeholders
